The South Tyneside Open Martial Arts Competition has grown steadily over the last 5 years into one of the North East’s Premier Events

with competitors coming from all over the North East, & Scotland. We have 41 categories available catering for all ages, grades and abilities.

All trophies are high quality metal for the individual categories and plaques for the teams supplied by J.C trophies.

As well as Semi-Contact Points fighting we also have Teams, Forms, and Continuous events.

In addition there is a GRAND CHAMPION event with prize money for the winner being a minimum of £100.

At the tournament venue itself we have 3 matted areas (fully manned throughout the day), a warm up area and a separate

Forms area allowing this category to run without interruption. 

All our referees have excellent experience of the tournament scene, and referee to a high standard.

We have first aid staff, an equipment stall as well as caterers serving healthy option food and refreshments.
